Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Preparedness in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an assigned government location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to government employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and property perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, property damage, and policy violations.
  • Prepare clear incident reports and maintain accurate patrol and activity logs in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
