As a Security Officer - Weekend Private School Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational campus, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will support a welcoming, secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report relevant information according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the educational location, providing directions and assistance to authorized individuals as needed.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations accurately and communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
