As a Security Officer Armed Defensive Equipment Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public education location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate professionally with staff, students, visitors, and first responders. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public school location.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with school personnel and/or public emergency services.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and address suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through accurate reports, and maintain assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
