As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Platform in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government transit location, maintain a professional presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, facilities, and other assigned locations to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel, emergency services, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
  • Maintain authorized firearms and other assigned equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through detailed reports and promptly communicate security-related concerns to designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
