As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Specialist in River Rouge, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential hazards related to utility operations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related observations, incidents, and/or routine patrol findings according to post procedures.
• Support security-related operations during weather events, service disruptions, and/or other critical situations by following site instructions and reporting conditions that could impact personnel, property, and/or ongoing operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
