As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, handling calls for assistance, and supporting security-related dispatch operations throughout the location.
  • Receive, prioritize, and relay routine and emergency communications to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Monitor radios, phones, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems to help identify unusual activity, support timely response, and coordinate follow-up with site contacts and/or emergency services.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident records, and dispatch reports, helping to track daily activity, service requests, and critical situations across the property.
  • Support regular and random patrol operations by directing personnel to assigned areas, sharing relevant updates, and helping coordinate responses around the business and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
