Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Specialist in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support customers, guests, and staff through clear communication and responsive service. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observed activity and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or loading areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and customer or staff assistance needs.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by reporting suspicious behavior, following post orders, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or site leadership when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
