Job Description


As a Security Officer Clinical Patrol Associate in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor access points and help confirm that visitors, vendors, and staff follow location protocols, directing individuals to the proper department when needed.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing assistance during high-traffic periods, and communicating professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and first responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital positions require vaccines.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
