Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer Transit Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Support emergency response activities, crowd management, and de-escalation efforts while maintaining a visible presence and following all applicable armed post responsibilities and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or armed security-related experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
