As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Hauppauge, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare and pharmaceutical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, helping to support access control practices, badge and credential verification, and adherence to location policies and/or post orders.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations observed during patrols, and assist with follow-up communication related to security-related incidents and daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
