What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal items in accordance with site protocols, and report prohibited items, irregularities, and/or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and established communication procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, screening equipment, and/or access points to help support authorized entry and document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and communicating findings to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, or possess an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
