Job Description


As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports.
  • Support emergency response activities, including alarms, evacuations, and medical incidents, while following post orders and assisting with crowd management and directional guidance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
