Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government ferry transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this public-facing role, you will support daily operations with professionalism and integrity while being part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and committed to putting people first.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, commuters, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, waiting areas, entrances, dockside access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify permissions as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Support orderly operations during high-traffic periods, service disruptions, and/or emergency situations by providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders and communication protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• The client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
