As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Service Specialist in Lido Beach, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. At Allied Universal, our unarmed officers patrol a government education location, monitor assigned areas, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, and communicate clearly during routine activities. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work with integrity, and deliver outstanding service through teamwork.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and/or after-hours access while supporting school staff, students, and community visitors with directions and other site-related assistance.
• Document observed conditions, incidents, and/or unusual activity in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
