As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
• Monitor entrances, credential checks, visitor logs, and delivery activity to help support authorized access and report unusual or unauthorized activity in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or policy violations.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access control-related events, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
