Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol Route Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will also support guests with outstanding customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unsecured doors or gates, and help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Support daily operations by providing directions, reporting maintenance or housekeeping concerns, and completing assigned reports, logs, and/or incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
