Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for State Site in Boston MA

Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7 AM - 3 PM and Monday 3 PM - 11 PM

Starting Pay is $23 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

 


As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, traffic-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support orderly operations, verify authorized access when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized persons.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, observations, and/or interactions, and assist with emergency response activities according to post orders and site needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
