As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, team-focused culture built on reliability, innovation, and integrity while helping people feel supported throughout the property.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, retail location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or customer concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and report relevant details according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe shopper and visitor activity, and communicate unusual conditions, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support closing and opening routines, check assigned areas for unsecured doors or gates, and document daily patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
