As a Security Officer Building Access Control in La Palma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as a Front Desk professional, serving as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors. In this stationary role, you will support access control, monitor front desk activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and strong communication. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, greeting visitors, and assisting employees, guests, and vendors with entry requirements and general questions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining lobby logs, and supporting security-related protocols for deliveries, appointments, and after-hours requests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Observe lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, phones, and entry points, documenting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, relay important information during shift changes, and support a professional front desk presence within a fast-paced office location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
