As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Representative in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting busy commercial real estate and food and beverage locations. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, sales floor areas, and perimeter spaces, helping to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing employee, visitor, vendor, and/or delivery activity, following site protocols for entry, exit, and restricted areas.
• Assist with daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations, and by maintaining a visible presence that supports order throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
