What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify entry permissions when required, and document security-related events, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with resident inquiries, giving clear directions, and communicating courteously with residents, guests, vendors, and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
