Job Description


As a Security Officer Gatehouse Monitor Driver in Mount Holly, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Our Access Control Officers at this automotive location help manage entry points, verify credentials, support vehicle and visitor access, and perform routine patrols as part of a driving post. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document access activity in accordance with site guidelines and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and supporting screening and/or checkpoint operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an EMT certification.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
