Job Description


As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols while remaining visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate access records in support of site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and critical access areas to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and/or conditions requiring attention.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or emergency responders regarding entry procedures, restricted areas, and other security-related policies and expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
