Job Description


As a Security Officer Driver for Armed Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document security-related incidents, observations, and actions according to site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel, visitors, and public agency representatives while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following post orders for assigned areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton are preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
