Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents with professional communication and customer service. In this armed post, you will bring an agile, reliable approach, work as part of a caring team, and act with integrity while helping create a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter access points.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, property-related concerns, and/or policy violations to help support order throughout the community.
  • Communicate with residents, management, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed while maintaining professionalism and attention to site-specific instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 1 or more years of armed security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
