As a Security Officer Screening in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access, screen visitors and team members, and support daily operations through strong communication and a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and monitor assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen persons, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity through proper channels.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document entries, exits, and screening-related findings to help support security-related operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for policy violations, hazards, and/or unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
