Job Description


As a Security Officer Lobby Concierge in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk professional at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access support, and handle a variety of security-related front desk responsibilities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet incoming guests, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to document arrivals, departures, and deliveries according to property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to communicate relevant details to building management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Support access control functions by helping to monitor entry points, issue visitor badges or credentials, and follow established security-related policies for restricted areas and after-hours access.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and front desk records related to daily activity, incidents, maintenance notifications, and other security-related matters in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
