Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Caledonia, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicles, and/or authorized entry in accordance with site protocols to help support controlled access operations.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information with supervisors, local authorities, and/or designated site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
