As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Grocery Store in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, sales floor, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor foot traffic, observe customer and employee activity, and document security-related concerns such as suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders related to opening, closing, and high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
