Job Description


As a Security Officer Entry Management in Florence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Our Access Control Officers help manage entry and exit activity at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, supporting security-related operations through attentive monitoring, visitor processing, and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing protocols, and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual activity to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities and documenting security-related events as needed.
  • Verify credentials, shipment-related documentation, and/or vehicle access requirements in accordance with post orders and location procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entry points, loading areas, and perimeter zones, noting security-related concerns and escalating them through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
