As a Security Officer Patrol Armed Enhanced Part Time in Hialeah, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations while following post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines.
• Support public-facing operations by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public, providing directions, information, and assistance during routine and unusual situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A college degree is required.
• A corrections officer license is required.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• A law enforcement officer license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
