Job Description


As a Security Officer Access Driver in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage site entry and exit, monitor activity, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Our team values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while putting people first every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the distribution location, verify deliveries and pickups, and help to deter unauthorized access to warehouses, yards, docks, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, visitor records, vehicle information, and other required reports related to access control and security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, trailer lots, loading areas, and parking locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
