Job Description


As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Control in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this role, you will support access awareness, observe alarm activity, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, perimeter, and/or access points to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured areas, or other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report issues involving restricted areas, deliveries, and/or contractors.
  • Support a professional presence at an active work location by observing changing conditions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns to the appropriate site contact, and following post orders throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
