Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location where your armed patrol presence helps support a secure environment. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with the public and site personnel. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and support personnel and visitors with directions, information, and security-related assistance.
  • Maintain a visible presence while following post orders, handling security-related issues professionally, and coordinating with onsite staff and/or public sector personnel during routine operations or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
