RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage scheduling: Leverage AI-powered technology to effectively schedule security officers, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime
  • Lead and Develop Security Teams: Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors while overseeing payroll, performance, and employee relations
  • Enhance Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service that protects people and property
  • Handle Security Incidents and Emergencies: Respond to escalated issues professionally, coordinating with clients and internal teams
  • Direct Compliance and Security Operational Excellence: Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards as well as managing inventory (uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies)
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the 24/7 GSOC, including monitoring, dispatch, reporting, and escalations to the client and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Oversee guard force operations, including scheduling, payroll/timekeeping accuracy, shift coverage, post staffing, uniform/appearance standards, and overall performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client's Physical Safety & Security team, providing regular updates, performance reporting, and operational recommendations.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce post orders, GSOC standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guard service standards in alignment with client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs, SLAs, and Allied Universal corporate standards; track and report on key performance metrics.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and retain GSOC operators and security officers assigned to the account, in partnership with Allied Universal branch leadership.
  • Operate and maintain GSOC technology platforms, including mass notification, threat monitoring, access control, and visitor management systems used by GSOC personnel.
  • Oversee day-to-day use of HELIAUS® for guard tours, post checks, and patrol reporting, ensuring officer accountability and timely reporting to the client.
  • Support incident response and documentation, ensuring timely, accurate, and thorough incident reports are delivered to the client.
  • Conduct regular site walks, post inspections, and audits to verify guard performance, post order adherence, and overall security posture.
  • Manage account financials, including billing accuracy, overtime control, and budget adherence in coordination with Allied Universal branch leadership.
  • Partner with the client on continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle while conducting business
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business operations, security management, or supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in leading, developing, and retaining a dynamic team while building positive client relationships
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments, and law enforcement coordination
  • Proven ability to evaluate situations, make sound independent decisions, and resolve conflicts in an efficient manner
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees while managing multiple projects and driving operational excellence
  • Financial acumen; able to manage staffing levels while minimizing non-billed overtime and managing turnover costs; planning and organizing skills to control costs related to inventory (uniforms, equipment, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years of management-specific experience in contract security or physical security operations.
  • Prior GSOC experience required; direct experience managing or supervising a GSOC strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience managing guard force operations, including scheduling, performance management, and labor/overtime control.
  • Experience with mass communication / threat monitoring systems, Brivo and/or Eagle Eye access control and video systems, and visitor management systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a 24/7 environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface confidently with client stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must meet all Allied Universal employment requirements, including applicable state guard licensing.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • College degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field
  • Law enforcement, military, and/or contract or proprietary security services, or facility management experience
  • American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
  • Previous payroll, billing, or scheduling experience
  • Aptitude with security systems: CCTV, access control, and badge administration
  • Graduate of certified public safety academy (e.g., Law Enforcement, Firefighter/Paramedic, Corrections Officer)

PAY: 

  • $100,000 - $115,000/yr
