As a Security Officer -  Badge Inspector in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and supporting approved entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor lobbies, entrances, gates, and other assigned access points to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity through proper security-related channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using site protocols and notifying leadership and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain visitor logs, credential records, delivery information, and other required documentation while communicating clearly with staff, contractors, and guests.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, access control equipment, and other security-related concerns that may arise during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
