Job Description


As a Security Officer Driver Badge Verification in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication while contributing to security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening access at entry points, and supporting security-related protocols for an automotive location.
  • Monitor and document the arrival and departure of personnel, guests, deliveries, and/or vehicles, helping to control access to authorized areas in accordance with post orders and location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and/or policy concerns.
  • Complete logs, reports, and other required documentation related to visitor management, credential checks, key control, and/or security-related incidents in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
