What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with site policies and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, patients, and/or contractors while reporting unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency and medical-related response activities by assisting with scene control, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting incidents in a clear and timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
