What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize visitor access, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or contractor activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
  • Support property rules and post orders by observing site activity, reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues, and providing clear directions and assistance to people at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of military, corrections, law enforcement experience or degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Guard card is required.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
