Job Description


As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Pineville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and access control, and help support a secure environment through visible presence and strong communication. This role blends customer service with security-related responsibilities, using teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach to assist employees and visitors while responding to site needs with agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and/or documenting entry and exit activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Support authorized personnel and visitors with directions, badge processing, and/or questions related to access procedures while helping to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
