Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will drive throughout assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and screen visitors, staff, and/or vehicles in accordance with site protocols, verifying credentials and reporting access concerns.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting with directions, maintaining a visible presence, and following post orders for security-related enforcement and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
