Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Naples, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
  • Assist with de-escalation, provide directions and information, and coordinate with supervisors, first responders, and/or local authorities during security-related events or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
