Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and following post orders for an armed patrol assignment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and support local staff and first responders during medical, fire, and other emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
