Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through strong communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to stay active, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver reliable service as part of a team that leads with integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with store leadership and local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and report concerns promptly while supporting access control, asset protection efforts, and orderly operations at the site.
  • Assist with emergency situations, de-escalation efforts, and/or customer and employee concerns while maintaining professionalism and following Allied Universal standards and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
