What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location guidelines, maintaining professional presence, using sound judgment, and supporting de-escalation during security-related interactions whenever appropriate.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening, and monitoring of sensitive or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and support the orderly flow of people throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience is required, or a college degree is required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
