Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Lead in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with local leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, theft, and/or other suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces, verify access when required, and report hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with de-escalation during confrontational situations, and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
