Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving Patrol Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and assist with traffic flow for deliveries, shipments, and personnel movement across the location.
  • Support loss prevention and operational awareness by observing high-value storage areas, reporting damaged doors, gates, and/or lighting issues, and noting policy violations or suspicious behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
