As a Security Officer Access Control Desk in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will greet visitors, manage access and badges, monitor front desk activity, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this highly visible role, you will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while reflecting our values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, following site-specific policies and supporting security-related procedures for a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access at the reception area by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and sign-out activity, and communicating entry guidelines to authorized personnel and guests.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and contact site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate front desk logs, report unusual activity, and support communication between departments, delivery personnel, and visitors in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
