As a Security Officer Visitor Management Specialist in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and front desk support activities at an industrial location.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify identification and/or visitor information, issue access credentials as directed, and maintain front desk logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, direct guests and deliveries, and support security-related screening and reporting processes for employees, vendors, and/or visitors.
  • Observe facility entry points and reception areas for unusual activity and report concerns according to site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
