As a Security Officer Badge Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer. In this driving post, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. You will stay visible, respond to site needs, and deliver a people-first experience while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, screen authorized visitors, and maintain accurate access logs and related records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Support emergency response activities, assist with traffic and gate operations during busy periods, and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or unusual conditions according to post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
